Roles: Donations For Hospitalized Children
Week One
Advertiser- First objective is to get the word out about the donation. We need a design that all people at the school are going to look at and feel compelled to bring things in. You may use whatever software that you feel comfortable with, but the design needs to be approved by the rest of the group and a couple of others within the class. Then you’ll need to find effective places to put the poster and hang enough of them up that people will become familiar with them.
Donation Tracker- First and foremost we are going to need bins so the people can bring things and put the donations in. These can be cardboard boxes, plastic bins, or even baskets, whatever we can get our hands on, but they need to look nice, they need to be noticed. Then we need to check with the office and other places around the school to put the bins. Unfortunately, we cannot just leave a bunch of collecting bins around the school for people to wonder what they are. Which brings me to my next point that we need to label the bins stating what they are. If you don’t have the bins right away, start with a strategic plan of where to place them, and what they will look like. Talk to teachers, counselors, and office ladies, the more places there is the better.
When tasks above are accomplished-
I will be looking at hospitals that are not too far away or other charities that will take our donations off of our hands. If you guys would be so kind as to find some of these organizations and write down their contact information, it would be much appreciated.
